Joey celebrated his 10 YEAR HS REUNION this year! Wow.  It certainly doesn't feel like it's been that long!  We had a great weekend celebrating with family and friends.  We were also excited to celebrate with Joe's little brother, Travis as he graduated HS this weekend!  We're proud of you Trav.  Can't wait to see what the future holds!

BUsy Time of Year

Wow!  The past couple of weeks have been CRAZY!  We celebrated Joey's 28th birthday, Mother's Day, David's college graduation and this weekend is Joey's TEN YEAR high school reunion!  It will be a fun weekend, because it's also his littlest brother's high school graduation.  Here's a couple of pics from our recent events.

Emelyn went to the potty for the first time tonight!!!  I bought her a book called "A Potty for Me" by Karen Katz.  I personally think the book is kinda wierd, but maybe it's working!  Here's a picture.  I got some cuter ones, but she kept dropping the towel, so they're not internet appropriate.  

I also wanted to add some pictures from our recent snowstorm.  Emmy wasn't so sure of the snow, but she kept going back to it.  Maybe she was just having a hard time moving with the 3 layers of pajamas, a coat and the hat I had her in!

Emmy has reached a new milestone!  On March 21, 2009 Emelyn sat down and watched a CARTOON for the first time!! Joey and I love to sit around the corner and watch her.  It is SOOO cute.  She will try to sing the "backpack" song and Dora asks alot of yes/no questions, which Emmy ALWAYS answers "no".  So cute!  Emmy says "dae due" NeeNee!

 

Spring Cleaning!

Well, nesting is coming early this pregnancy.  I spent the past 3 days trying to "de-junk" our house.  3 days later...it looks much like it did when I started.  I don't get it.  Maybe the helping hand from my daughter had something to do with it.  The video will explain it all!I took off work last week to spend a day with Joe and Emmy.  She certainly had some experiences.  She LOVES the cows and mama and papas, but they are a little afraid of her.  She, on the other hand is apparently very afraid of choo choo trains!  Who knew?

This is a funny little video of Emmy!  Watch it until the end.  That's the best part!  We're having some problems with Emelyn biting her friends.  She usually does it if someone tries to take something from her.  We're usually not around when it happens, so it's hard to address it with her on the spot.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Christmas 2008

We had such a wonderful Christmas! Emmy got so many gifts....she is so spoiled!  My grandparents got her a huge rocking horse.  It took the men quite a while to put it together!  We've started a new tradition of Christmas at our house, which is fun!  I always have dreamed of having holidays at my home!  This way we get to blend both of our families together, too!  We've also started attending Christmas Eve candlelight service as a family, which is one of my favorite traditions.  We let Emmy open the first gift on Christmas Day which was a shirt that said, "I'm going to be a big sister".  It took everyone a while to catch on, but then everyone was so excited!  

Big News, Big Apple!

Wow, it's been a long time since I've made a new post!  In December, Joey and I took a trip to NYC that we'd saved for the whole time he was in Iraq.  The week before we left, we found out some exciting news that we were GOING TO BE PARENTS AGAIN!!  We weren't really planning to have another baby yet, but God's plan is always perfect, so we're excited.  Well, pregnancy set in as we set off for NYC and I was SICK the ENTIRE trip!  We still had a good time, but for now, I can't talk about New York without getting nauseous.  We got to meet up with our friends Sarah and Phillip which was fun!  I'm posting a picture of my "germaphobe", Sarah, on the SUBWAY!!:)  Anyway, I will be better about updating posts....I think I'm getting over my early pregnancy sleep disorder.  Please pray for our growing family!
